My title sounds so vanilla when you hear it – read it out loud and stare at it! To me it sounds like a harsh tone from your parents or some high school counselor. It gives you the feeling of ”Make it worthwhile here because this will be your personal hell for the next four years”. (First day of High School)
I don’t why I feel like writing about making decisions, maybe its because I feel that its important for all us. Decisions are important because they are the things that we will do next after them.
Loop (decide(action))
I know it seems circular thinking but it is true. What we do now affects us in the future. I forgot to mention this: It doesn’t matter how big the decision is but how you treat it. If you just think the small choices we make don’t change the way we live later you might just think again. Each small decision that we make has a large cost or a reward. I try to write and convey my thoughts acceptable for others to read and simply write from my own experiences. One example would be applying for a summer leadership program. This particular program was for people with disabilities. I hated applying for it. I had a disabilty but God no! “I wasn’t like them”….”Those people” forget! but I soon realized that my pride and prejudgement would hurt me inside later that summer. Luckily my parents shared with me how important this could be for me. My parents didn’t force me to go! I made that small decsion to go! and eventually it made an everlasting impact on my life! My career, thoughts and general outlook on todays things.
Now after I think about it! I believe that making good decisions now will help you create better ones in the future. I would love any comments or feedback. Remember that you always have choices and decsions to make! :)

In the world of internet connection we find the good, the bad, and the ulgy. This post is really good I believe because this is not just pointing to one side of the employment sector. The sector of employment is somewhat unbridged in my point of view. There is HR …….. |and| ……………………………..Employment Seekers. The advancements of Hiring via online has been easier since the portal systems has existed but just in recent years (3 – 5 ). Users of the internet now are able to quickly and easily be part of the stage instead of the crowd. The problem is that our mass social networks are too huge for employers and they are gated. When an employer post a job title in a job bank. There is literally too many seeker to that job which creates a cumbersome task for the HR department. Should it be the other way around?
The ability to use twitter is easy as pie. My mother can use twitter and your 5 year kid can too! Twitter is considered to be a social network of course but the way it is created works in a different format than other traditional social networks. The other SN sites are like a big pool of people blocked off by friends and people that you know. Twitter is different, this system is created by smaller networks that shares commonality of keywords and easily linked to all of the small networks. The cool feature in Twitter is that your not blocked based on the people you don’t know. The block feature on Twitter is good because you can block user access AFTER you get the chance to view who this user is about.
So trying to tie up what is been said. Twitter is a tool for Employment because Employers can discreetly find that perfect employee for their company without causing stress and fear for the seeker. You are probably wondering how the seeker plays the role in twitter. Simple – They are the meat and the HR departments are the beast to prey on the best. How do we do this? Attraction – You need something that attracts the HR departments. Resumes, contacts and other things that sells yourself. I highly suggest to create a blog that entitles YOU as a seeker and build it as a resume. Start Twittering about your skills and how your skills can play a role in a company. Employers Seek and they shall recieve. It works both ways. Hope this helps someone….somewhere. I love input!

As your resume slips onto a HR desk your just a risk and a gamble. Your resume should be all about you and a strong investment for the company your applying to. If you don’t have a resume…get one… if you don’t know how…learn it! Start thinking why you need to work there! The skills and experiences that you have! Learn all you can about the business and know how to represent the company as if you were an employee there.
Network with people and never focus on one job! There is an old saying “Never put all your eggs in one basket” and I think it is fair to say it here. With the usage of the Internet our Networking spectrum is quite larger than it used to be. Forums, Twitter, Craigslist, Online Job banks, Facebook Marketplace, Myspace Jobs, and company websites offering positions. Be committed.
Four A’s to remember
Aptitude- What you like to do and what your good at!
Attitude- How you act depends on your attitude!
Appearance- Are you dressed proper for the job?
Attendance- Be where you say your be and 15 minutes early!
When you think about these you automatically think in that list order but when employer see it the other way so make sure your list is fulfilled in the 4 A’s.
Sometime next week I will be blogging about interviewing and how to avoid those hard questions!

Many students in our generation- (I am 22 btw) are the product of test takers for state money. I have to admit that I had a great education during my High School career but I was failed by my educational system aleast part of it.
Taken this information about a teacher
In education, a teacher is a person who educates others. A teacher who educates an individual student may also be described as a personal tutor. The role of teacher is often formal and ongoing, carried out by way of occupation or profession at a school or other place of formal education.
I have to say some teachers still have it in them but can you just think about how our our educational system is turned itself upside down? We are losing the very last part our educational roots and someday I really want to know how it will turn out. or do I? The above quote is just something I can get you started thinking about.
The First Line “In education, a teacher is a person who educates others” I will just skip this just until the end.
The Second Line “A teacher who educates an individual student may also be described as a personal tutor.” Wouldn’t you agree that all teachers should be thier personal tutors, I mean, should teachers know thier student’s Learning Style, Level of attention and know how to open their desire to learn?
The Third Line “The role of a teacher is often formal and ongoing, carried out by way of occupation or profession at a school or other place of formal education.” Professional? I wouldn’t really say my teachers were super Professional but they had thier balance I suppose but the killing strike is carried out by way of occupation students can really sense whether or not if the teacher is happy with their job and how they handle situtions. Teachers should be rolemodels for future employees in whatever field they choose.
Back to The First Line “In education, a teacher is a person who educates others” How can you educate someone if your heart is not in it? And the teacher is not a personal tutor? and they show no interest in the student’s desire to learn? It used to be… A teacher will prepare and do what ever it takes to help the student become whatever they want to become? Now its… I’ll do everything my state tells me to do and need to prepare my students to become whatever they want AFTER what the state want them to be while they are in school.
They go to college or stay with friends or Family. They spend 5 or 10 years trying to figure out What they are suppose to be? I am sorry if I am unorganized with my thoughts I aleast try.
It just bugs me the realize that people can have a better start in life if we all had “Real Teachers” I really did have some of those good ones not everyone is lucky.
Education, Teachers
For many readers here know that we are almost living a web 2.0 life. I remeber the days where webpages were static and php/asp scripted pages were never exisited or when you must type www. before the domain. Time has flown and I am forced to move on with this technology or stand dry from it!
I can just see my former employers just look at Facebook or Twitter and think….its no good for my business. As I keep pondering thoughts about social media and media it self I stop questioning it as a bad thing.
1. Marketting style: Viral …. If your good your real and we want a real good company not because we say we are real good but your users will say your really good.
2. Volume – Where can you can literally meet millions of people?
3. Countable – Do you want to be a Company that stands for very long time? The way you treat your employees to the way you treat your consumers is shown through Social media.
Viral is cheap or even free. Why pump your money in TV ads while everyone your trying to reach is not watching TV? Can you just Imagine a person signing to a group of people that are blind?
I really believe that social networking can have good results for your business. I do want to mention though that what we do or say on the Internet has a greater profound impact then what we do and say in our daily lives. You know how important that is right?
As I look at our next computer generation kids I am puzzled to realize that I was them. It seems to me that when we start to really learn something, It changes. -Technology- I remeber learning how to push play after inserting a tape to listen for a few songs. Then the CD boom and now CD players almost hang out with the 8-Track systems. To older generation people, CDs were Hot and New and only “These Kids now days” could use them. Now, I don’t own not one CD. My ipod works. I am wondering when I will hear someone say….. Whats a Mp3 player? or Now…What is a Tape Deck? So with that thought in mind I want….to move with it?
As a system administrator we do million of tasks in our heads and with our fingers and if we are lucky we get to play “rebuild the host computer” game. and yes its a treat for me because all the times I fried my motherboards while I was trying to be “tech savvy” it reminds me that failure will lead to success at least some point in time. So I don’t have all the answers in the computer world but it its similar to a dictionary you don’t know all the words in one but you know how to use them and when you don’t know a word you look it up and you tend to retain that info if you keep using it. It really amazes me that I learn quickly even though I have a Brain Injury I can really muster up the courage to learn something new. I tend to try to share and store the information that I collect in my own head and later use it!
I wanted to know why I picked this domain. So many times I tried to create a killer Blog…after five attempts I was thinking – Should I just find another hobby? Well, I think of this – practice makes better, your leading yourself to success. I have many of ideas some okay and some that you would just rather past the pipe on it. I have to say that many people have great ideas – world changing – but if you don’t put them into action they are just ideas and ideas alone. I guess the point I am trying to get here is that if you just give up on something your going to succeed in – put just another push and tug and your likely to go forward.
Just as my blog – Even if I fail and quit its not epic its just half hearted ideas that didn’t make it
BUT
If I fail and keep trying I am a hero. When I keep moving forward I succeed and I become an epic hero.
